The IT Business Analyst will be responsible for enhancing the quality of IT products and services, analyzing data to inform business decisions and finding technological solutions to business needs. This position will have the opportunity to research and help deliver innovative solutions to complex business issues. They will work with business stakeholders to create, analyze and validate detailed functional specifications. It requires a thorough, detail oriented and highly motivated team player with a positive attitude to serve as a liaison and enhance communication between IT and business operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Translate business needs to technical specifications
  • Serve as liaison between Information Technology and business units for the purpose of eliciting, documenting, validating, socializing, and modeling requirements and business processes
  • Work with business units to identify strategic and tactical improvements and/or opportunities and work with IT management to assist in the prioritization of those needs
  • Assume responsibility for project tasks and ensure they are completed in a timely fashion
  • Design and execute A/B testing procedures to extract data from test runs
  • Develop and update technical documentation
  • Supports the Applications Development team with various projects
  • Other duties may be assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems; any combination of experience and education equivalent
  • Proven experience in the ability to creatively solve business problems using information systems
  • People skills, with the ability to engage diplomatically with stakeholders and communicate changes that may not be aligned with the original expectations
  • Ability to learn new concepts and teach oneself quickly

Required Skills:

  • Experience with issue tracking and project management software – e.g. Jira
  • SQL query skills including stored procedures, views and functions
  • Advanced analytical and organization skills
  • Ability to multitask and maintain organization
  • Experience with issue tracking and project management software – e.g. Jira
  • Experience in an Agile Scrum work environment
